There are seasons where life forces you to slow down… and recently, I had one of those moments.
A severe ear infection hit me hard. The kind that doesn’t just hurt—it drains you. Between the pressure, the pain, and the exhaustion, I quickly realized this wasn’t something I could just “push through.” As a mom, that’s hard. We’re used to showing up no matter what.
But this time, my body said: rest.
Listening to My Body Instead of Fighting It
Healing wasn’t just about medication—it was about supporting my body from the inside out.
When your body is fighting infection, it needs:
Proper hydration
Rest and recovery
Nutritional support
Reduced inflammation
That’s where I started being more intentional.
Why Nutrition Matters During Healing
One thing I’ve learned on my wellness journey is that what you put in your body matters most when you’re not feeling your best.
Healthy fats—especially Omega-3s—play a key role in:
Supporting your immune system
Helping regulate inflammation
Aiding recovery at a cellular level
The problem? Most of us are already out of balance before we even get sick.
Supporting My Body with Daily Oils
During this time, I leaned into what I’ve already been learning and using in my routine.
With both It Works and Zinzino, the focus isn’t just “taking something”—it’s about:
Giving your body the right nutrients
Supporting balance, not extremes
Helping your body do what it was designed to do—heal
These oils are rich in essential fatty acids that help support:
A healthy inflammation response
Brain and nervous system function
Overall wellness and recovery
And when your body is run down, that support matters.
This Was a Reminder I Needed
This experience reminded me of a few important things:
Slowing down is sometimes necessary
Healing isn’t just external—it’s internal
You can’t pour from an empty cup
As moms, we take care of everyone else—but we also have to take care of ourselves.
From Surviving to Supporting My Health
I’m not sharing this as medical advice—but as real life.
There’s a difference between:
Just getting through being sick
And actually supporting your body while it heals
And that’s where my wellness journey has shifted—toward being proactive, not reactive.
If You’ve Been Running on Empty…
If you’ve been feeling:
Run down
Constantly tired
Like your body is always trying to “catch up”
It might be time to start looking at what your body is missing—not just what’s wrong.
💛 If you’re curious about how I’ve been supporting my body (especially through things like this), I’m always here to share what I’ve learned—no pressure, just real conversations.
